From the Big Tent

The center of Denver's DNCC blogosphere is without a doubt The Big Tent, a venue hosted by DailyKos and ProgressNow.  The Big Tent provides workstations, wi-fi, food and beverage and plenty of opportunity for folks whose paths usually only cross in packet form over network cables to congregate and trade tips.

I'm sitting there as I type this, and there is blogging going on all around me (photo left).  Quite a scene.

But at the DNCC, even at the center of the ordinarily decentralized progressive blogosphere, one can't go far without running across celebrities of the political variety.

Among them, spotted just moments after entering the tent, was former Alabama Governor and Karl Rove/Bush DOJ smear target Don Siegelman (at left in photo, talking with other big tenters).

Sightings of familiar Missouri political celebrities as well, as Fired Up co-founder Senator Jean Carnahan and Secretary of State Robin Carnahan, along with husband Juan Carlos Antolinez were exiting The Big Tent just as I arrived.

May try to catch one or more of the tremendous panels that are being held at the Big Tent as the week goes on.  It's a beehive of activity, with the people who make thye progressive blogosphere run seemingly feeding off one another.  Good stuff.
