Biography - Roy Temple
 Roy Temple Roy Temple has been active in Democratic politics since 1986. He served as political director on Governor Mel Carnahan's first bid for Governor of Missouri. After that election, he served in the Carnahan Administration as both Deputy Chief of Staff and Chief of Staff.
Roy ran Governor Carnahan's reelection in 1996 and from 1998-2000 was Executive Director of the Missouri Democratic Party. He was also a Senior Advisor on Governor Carnahan's 2000 U.S. Senate race against then Senator John Ashcroft.
After Governor Carnahan's untimely death 3 weeks prior to the 2000 election, Temple served as Chief of Staff to U.S. Senator Jean Carnahan and later as a Senior Advisor to her campaign.
During the 2004 election cycle, Temple worked as an advisor to former Democratic Governor Bob Holden and to the Missouri Democratic Party.
During the Presidential primaries, Temple was the Missouri State Director of the John Kerry for President Campaign, and during the General Election served as the Minnesota State Director for Kerry Edwards 2004.
Temple has consulted with dozens of other political candidates and corporate clients. He has also participated in numerous public forums on politics and government. In addition, he has served as faculty for trainings conducted by the Missouri Democratic Party, the Democratic National Committee, and Wellstone Action.
During 2001, Temple participated in a National Democratic Institute training for members of the Russian Duma in Moscow. He is also an attorney.
Temple's comments and observations have appeared in several media outlets, including Vanity Fair, the New York Times, the Washington Post, the Fox News Channel, CNN, NBC, and Air America Radio.
