Kenny and the tape measure...
Submitted by DavidRust on Wed, 09/10/2008 - 12:29pm.After watching Kenny with a couple little girls and a tape measure and hearing his blather about unskilled workers, I sent his campaign this email. I have not received a reply, nor will I. His jobs were just like those of Jim Talents, all imaginary.
Never the less I got it off my chest.

DNR and the Hog Farm
Submitted by DavidRust on Tue, 09/04/2007 - 10:09am.September 4, 2007
Mr. Doyle Childers
Director, Missouri Department of Natural Resources
Jefferson City, Mo.
Dear Director Childers:
It comes as no surprise your Department has issued another permit to defile the air, water and environment in general around the Arrow Rock area. After allowing a stinkin’ chicken operation around Roaring River State Park, apparently nothing is sacred.
You state that the DNR has only authority over water quality on these permits.

Bridge Building
Submitted by DavidRust on Fri, 08/31/2007 - 8:01am.Here is an excerpt from an article Springfield's KY3 website about the Missouri Bridge project.
The sheer scope and duration of the project is so unusual that Missouri lawmakers met in a special session to waive conventional contractor requirements.
This one doesn't pass the smell test already. Where is this money coming from, and how much?

Submitted by DavidRust on Thu, 08/30/2007 - 6:59am.The Uninsured in Missouri is now on the rise. Here is a leading article in the News Leader in Springfield...
St. Louis — The number of Missourians without health insurance jumped at three times the national rate in 2006, census figures show.
In data released Tuesday, the U.S. Census Bureau reported the number of Missouri's uninsured grew by an estimated 104,000 people between 2005 and 2006 — a spike of nearly 16 percent — reaching a total of 772,000.

Healthcare challenge
Submitted by DavidRust on Sun, 10/22/2006 - 9:19pm.We have seen WalMart announce a discount drug plan where some 300 plus common prescription drugs will be sold for $4.00.
How about this challenge for "Not for profit" hospital and physicians. Put a cap on the price of an office call at $50.00 Then anyone going to a physicians office, that is a captive doctor for a hospital, would already know their cost for a visit, including a prescription would be $54.00 It seems as though we can't get affordable healthcare coverage, in fact we don't seem to have anyone in office for the Repugs that give a damn about anyones healthcare except their own.

Miranda Warning
Submitted by DavidRust on Sat, 10/21/2006 - 2:21am.Since the sweeping new bill has been rapidly signed into law that does away with Habeaus Corpus, and that may not be spelled correctly, what will happen to the Miranda warning? I doubt there is any need for an arrested person to be "Mirandized" since they no longer have any rights under the new law? Everything that happens after the arrest seems to be at the whim of those in authority.

Blunt baits hook for Romney?
Submitted by DavidRust on Mon, 09/04/2006 - 9:26pm.It seems as though the Goobernator took a trip to Alaska last week on the QT with Governor Romney. According the the Saturday Sept 2 issue of the Columbia Tribune, the Goobernator slipped away for some Salmon Fishing and whatever else ??
The article does not report who all the attendees were, I'm sure there were others along if Governor Romney wanted some adult advise regarding his possible run for the Presidency.
The Goobernator probably went along to look after the minnows and other bait fish, keep track of the fishing tackle, and do other menial tasks.
Or perhaps the Alaskans wanted someone to lecture them on how to cut the budgets at the expense of the poor, how to cut social welfare programs in such a way to try to make the less fortunate feel good about starving and having no healthcare. How to fight a minimum wage issue and last but not least, all the while pretending to be a "christian" and displaying "christian" values.

Submitted by DavidRust on Fri, 09/01/2006 - 9:46pm.Please take the time to click on the link below and read the flowery words the Goobernator had to say to the workers of Missouri. Coming from a boy, notice I said a boy, that is against raising the minimum wage to help the poorest of the poor, this Press Release will make your blood pressure rise to the explosion point. The quicker this bunch of two faced lying jerks are out of office the better the people of Missouri will be. I can only hope this "boy" has to work for and live on Minimum Wage that he thinks is adequate for workers.

Stone and Taney County Repugs
Submitted by DavidRust on Thu, 07/27/2006 - 6:19am.Folks, keep an eye on the Branson Daily News online and the Stone County paper, if its online. It seems as though their present Rep. Dennis Wood (r) from Kimberling City did not quite get enough Tourism funds to suit his handlers. They have grumbled that the Tourism budget was not fully funded. So they have hitched their wagon to a new candidate, pouring money into his campaign. This new candidate's yard signs have sprouted up thicker than crab grass. So, the bottom line is, if the "big" tourism folks here don't get what they want from "their man in Jefferson City" they will quickly get a new man. Isn't it amazing, they have no quarrel or quibble with anyone the fact that minimum wage is still in the toilet. They could give a damn less about anyone but their own pocketbooks. Typical Republicans. Lets hope that Dennis Wood wins the primary and then see what they do!!

Has anyone tried to renew a Missouri Drivers License
Submitted by DavidRust on Tue, 06/06/2006 - 5:50pm.Has anyone tried to renew a Missouri Drivers License since the Republican Legislature worked over the law?
My wife attempted to renew hers today, the Blunt Office employee at the Local Office said she could not use her Birth Certificate, it was not legible, and she would have to get another copy before she could file for Soc Sec benefits. When my wife told her she had been drawing Soc Sec for almost a year and used that copy, she was somewhat taken back. Then she decided she had to prove that we were married in 1964, only a Certified Copy of the Marriage license would do. Needless to say she did not get it renewed, even though, like most of us, she had a pocket full of identification. Mad....not the word for it.
Story Continued »The bobble head goobernator
Submitted by DavidRust on Tue, 06/06/2006 - 2:00am.The Goobernator was on Springfield television stations tonite expounding on his Major "soon to be patterned by all States" Sex Offender Bill. He could be a real live model for a bobble head doll (among other things) While speaking incoherently, his head bobbles just like a bobble head doll in the back window of a vehicle. Come to think of it, the back window of a car would be a more appropriate place than in government.
