Here's a link to President Carter's comments in the Post-Dispatch.  His new book, Our Endangered Values, America's Moral Crisis, makes great reading.  Mr. Carter is able to provide insights from his perspective as an ex-President as well as an evangelical Christian.  Fired Up should consider putting a link to the book on the left margin with the other great reads there too!  Gale

The other day, my wife, also Pres of a local township democratic club, was canvassing for the Democratic candidate in a neighboring legislative district.  As many of you know, canvassing means walking the streets in the voting area, bringing the message door to door.  It requires some physical endurance as well as some intestinal fortitude.   While on one of her many “walks,” she noticed a prominent Kirkwood Chevrolet dealer displaying 4 large republican signs on their lot.  She and my daughter stopped in and talked it over with local management.  My wife pointed out to folks there that union laborers made those cars and they should consider taking the signs down or adding comparable Democratic signs.  They took the republican signs down.  An apparent victory?...well there’s more to this story.
