Subject: Take a Break, Make a Difference: Give 5 – Save Lives Challenge
I am writing today to encourage you to participate in the 'Give 5 – Saves Lives' Challenge. You can potentially save up to eight lives simply by becoming a member of the Missouri Organ Donor Registry.
Giving of one’s self to save the life of another person is one of the greatest gifts a person can offer. Becoming an organ, tissue or blood donor truly is a generous and selfless act.
If you are already on the Missouri Organ Donor Registry, I extend to you my gratitude. If you are not, please consider signing up and joining me and the 2.36 million Missourians who have said yes to organ and tissue donation by signing up for the registry.
Organ donation following a person’s death saves the lives of people needing a transplant for a failing lung, heart, pancreas, liver, or kidney. One of our fellow state employees,
For example, Rhonda Kremer with the Department of Health and Senior Services, is on the wait list for a kidney. Click here to read more about Rhonda. There are many other Missourians like Rhonda who would appreciate your generosity.
I encourage each of you to learn more about organ and tissue donation this week. If you choose to be an organ and tissue donor, take a five-minute break this week, log on to the Internet from your workstation, and sign up for the registry. The address is https://www.missouriorgandonor.com/. You also have the option to sign the back of your driver’s license.
As a state employee, you have a positive impact on the lives of others every single day. Becoming a member of the organ donor registry is just one more opportunity to make a difference for Missouri. Please join me and place your name on the registry today and inform your family and friends of your decision.

We could save lives
by cutting Trent Skaggs off the public [deleted]. But then again, who would we make fun of if Trent was gone?
