Angered by FOP Endorsement of Nixon, Blunt Gives Awardee Cops the Cold Shoulder
Earlier this afternoon, Governor Blunt failed to appear at a scheduled press event at which he was supposed to award the Medal of Valor to four Missouri police officers. Not only did Blunt not appear, but he reportedly "forgot" to tell the officers themselves about the time and place of the event.
Looks like the always petulant Blunt was exercising his childish and spiteful side by "accidentally" forgetting to tell law officers about their own award ceremony just a day after the Fraternal Order of Police announced its endorsement of Blunt's nemesis Jay Nixon in his race for governor.
Coincidence? Maybe. But given the way Blunt has spent his every moment since his withdrawal from the race trying to skewer Jay Nixon, it isn't unreasonable to believe that an FOP endorsement of the Democrat would be enough to drive the boy guv to a little petty revenge.
