Let’s be fiscally responsible
McCaskill ‘s correct to say

Is he any different than the Roy Blunt he has been for years in Washington DC? 

Once upon a time
Republicans had no doubt

On this the left and the right both agree
How they don’t like his actions while in D C

So what will he do so voters ignore
His record in congress so many abhor?

Now I am hearing with total dismay
When it comes to his record "just look away"

Ignore all of that congressional time
Spent helping lobbyists convicted of crime

And spending so much of tax-payer loot
While bringing his party into disrepute

When the economy fell very ill
Our nation's finances were going down-hill

There was an entertainer
By the name of Jericho
He talked a lot about his thoughts
While on the radio

Although there was much he said
About which I disagreed
He was correct about some things
That, even I, will concede

A self-indulgent musing and critique about Republicans with my own thoughts about values and politics -- 

The GOP has lost its way
   Doesn’t know which way to go
The choice is either a hard right turn
   Or a self-serving status-quo

Principles went out the window
   Sold out by a leadership
Desiring to serve themselves
   Trapped in corruption’s grip

Health care is not needed
Don’t get sick and you’ll be okay
Just look at Roy Blunt’s plan
What does it have to say?

Well, really it says nothing
No plan to help the ill
No way to cut the cost
Or pay a doctor’s bill

The ambassador from Pluto
Wants you to know
He is tired of reading
On Fired Up Mo

Where Cynthia Davis
Is from his planetoid
He says the insults
Have gotten him annoyed

Sure it is cold at home
But the people are so nice
None of them has a heart as frozen
As Cynthia’s heart of ice

Earthlings are responsible
She is of the Human Race!
Stop saying Ms Davis
Is from Outer Space!

Jesus fed the multitude
Because he had compassion
The GOP has a new style
Of political fashion

No more of that Love
Or showing that you care
No more brother's keeper
Or willingness to share

Letting people starve
Is the correct thing to do
As families stick together
Having hunger as their glue

Now we know starvation
Is a good thing for our State
What motives and transforms
Like an empty plate?

I have given the concept
Of term limits a lot of thought

Because I want a government
Where politicians are not bought

At first I was against term limits
For the reasons critics say

I thought they would be a mistake
Now I DON’T want them to go away

I support them for the reasons
They were first put into place

The long time incumbents
Assured of winning the next race

In the Senate Race Coming
     To the State of MO
This Cowboy says
     Go Robin Go!

Hard working experienced
     With her class and style
She has the brains
     And winning smile

Oh it should be so easy
     For her to defeat
Congressman Blunt
     Prince of K-Street

One likes to talk and sound real gruff
The other flees when things get tough
One can’t be found and the other won’t go away

I heard a story
And it’s not pretty
It’s set in a town
Called Jefferson City
A place where confusion and chaos reign
