Podium Ladies

You know about the room service, booze, steak, seafood and other nice meals personally enjoyed by Tour of Missouri organizers with taxpayer-subsidized accounts.  But did you also know that taxpayers also helped buy Nordstrom dresses and shoes for the imported Podium Ladies? 

Newly obtained documents from a Sunshine request submitted a few weeks ago show that taxpayer-funded accounts were used to pick up a $222 tab at Nordstrom.com.  Publicly-supported accounts were also also used to purchase two new pairs of shoes for the Ladies for $180. 

The Georgia pair Peter Kinder has hired to serve as taxpayer funded Hostesses of the Tour of Missouri bike race are keeping the camera rolling.

Check out this video of the peach state duo, sans driver, losing their way between St. James and Jefferson City.

Remember two things: this is not a parody and you paid for it....

Peter Kinder's Official Tour of Missouri Hostesses (imported from Georgia) have created a twitter feed and video blog detailing how they are spending Missourian's tax money.

Peter "Every Dollar Counts" Kinder is creating jobs with his taxpayer funded Tour of Missouri bike race--- too bad they're in Georgia.

Kinder has selected two Georgians, Erin Haney and Jen Caudill, as the official Hostesses for the 2009 Tour of Missouri.

Here's a look at the resumes Kinder couldn't pass over.

"Haney was named Miss Georgia USA in 2003 and has remained involved in pageants as a producer, consultant, emcee and judge. She possesses a college degree in Fashion Design and interned with fashion designer Vera Wang.  Haney also has over 15 years of formal dance training."

Caudill is an Atlanta based "model and actress and has appeared in music videos and on an episode of Lifetime's Drop Dead Diva.  She earned a degree in Advertising from the University of Georgia Grady College of Journalism.  Caudill is also an experienced equestrian."
