Peter Kinder is actively promoting a new RNC fundraising website strongly suggesting that President Obama and his judicial nominees want to edit the U.S. Constitution to create new protections for terrorists and sex offenders.
As The Plum Line's Greg Sargent wrote earlier today, "the new site is the latest sign that the RNC is willing to employ garish, misleading, over-the-top fundraising appeals, even though they attract massive amounts of criticism, because they accomplish their desired effect of bringing in the bucks."

Looking to reconnect with the common man, Michael Steele and the Republican National Committee are gathering at a beachfront resort in Waikiki today for their winter meeting.
Michael Steele is no doubt looking to Roy Blunt for guidance on how to entertain corporate donors on the beach, while still asking for votes from the folks who couldn't afford to set foot on their resorts. Blunt, of course, has a long history of meeting with moneyed supporters under the cabana.

Recent studies show that a more diverse electorate turned out last November, including historically underrepresented young and minority voters. Since the election, Republican operatives have continued to use the specter of voter fraud to loosen regulations on voter suppression activities while pushing policies to make voting more difficult for the crop of new voters.
Last week we reported how the Republican National Committee (RNC) had quietly filed a motion to dissolve a consent decree prohibiting them from practicing voter caging and other voter suppression activities. The decree had been established in the 1980s after so-called "ballot security programs" to prevent voter fraud resulted in wrongful voter disenfranchisement of largely low-income and minority voters.
