Submitted by .Sean on April 19, 2011 - 7:01amA broad coalition of progressive organizations staged rallies around the country yesterday to protest the manifestly unfair tax system that allows some corporations to escape their tax responsibilities entirely. Events similar to ones in Missouri took place all over the country targeting “The Deadbeat Dozen”—GE, Bank of America, Google, BP, Amazon, Wells Fargo, Citigroup, Boeing, ExxonMobil, FedEx, Goldman Sachs, Chase—wealthy corporations that are doing everything in their power to avoid paying taxes in America.
KTVI had a good story on the St. Louis action last night.

There are two versions of the ad - the one above praises senators like Claire McCaskill for supporting energy reform legislation. Alternate versions in North Carolina, North Carolina and Nebraksa criticize senators of both parties who voted against energy reform.

Richard Shelby's statement to banking lobbyists that helping elect Roy Blunt (with a $10,000 check) and other Republicans to the Senate would "help immensely" in their efforts to block important reforms.
