Kinder Promotes Website Asserting That Obama Wants Constitutional Changes To Protect Sex Offenders & Terrorists
UPDATE: Kinder's Deputy Lieutenant Governor also likes the site.
Peter Kinder is actively promoting a new RNC fundraising website strongly suggesting that President Obama and his judicial nominees want to edit the U.S. Constitution to create new protections for terrorists and sex offenders.
As The Plum Line's Greg Sargent wrote earlier today, "the new site is the latest sign that the RNC is willing to employ garish, misleading, over-the-top fundraising appeals, even though they attract massive amounts of criticism, because they accomplish their desired effect of bringing in the bucks."
According to the RNC -- and Kinder -- the Obama cabal wants to edit the Preamble; Article 1, Section 1; 1st Amendment; 2nd Amendment; 4th Amendment; 10th Amendment and 14th Amendment. The only real way to stop them, the website says is to give the RNC money.
Here are the made-up edits, in all their glory:
Preamble
We the people of the United States, in order to form a more perfect union, establish justice, insure domestic tranquility, provide for the common defense with the exception of tools used to fight terrorists, promote the general welfare, and secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.
Article 1, Section 1
All legislative powers herein granted shall be vested in a Congress of the United States, while other legislative powers are vested to judges to change public policy, which shall consist of a Senate and House of Representatives.
Amendment I
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof, but opening prayers in legislative sessions are strictly prohibited; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.
Amendment II
A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed.
Amendment IV
The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, including convicted sex offenders who should not be monitored by law enforcement,and no warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.
Amendment X
The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the states, are reserved to the states respectively, or to the people, but states are not allowed to force sex offenders to register with the government or submit to internet monitoring by law enforcement.
Amendment XIV
All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the state wherein they reside. No state shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States, privileges like free health care, free child care, and free job training at taxpayer expense; nor shall any state deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws.
This is too stupid for words. But it's just another day for your "Mainstream" Republican Party.
