Another Southeast Missouri Republican With Troubles

Documentation of a tax lien for unpaid Federal taxes against elected republican and Stoddard county prosecutor Russ Oliver and his wife was released recently. Unpaid Federal taxes for 2008 amounted to $7,281.35 dollars and $8,754.85 dollars for 2009.
Oliver was elected prosecutor in Stoddard county in 2010 after a great deal of support by Butler county politicians who have decided to expand their control of the Southeast Missouri region. Oliver excused his failure to pay his taxes by saying that he sacrificed a lot to run for office and that his failure to pay his taxes is a result of that sacrifice. I did not realize that avoiding taxes while seeking to be paid by tax payers was considered a sacrifice.
Republicans excusing themselves from paying taxes, court costs, fines, working for the good of the community instead of a few insiders, following the law, following acceptable business practices, and more, seems to be a common theme here in Butler county as well as in the surrounding region. Rules, laws, ethics, and standard human decency are for other people.
Should I mention the republican Lieutenant Governor who used to be from Southeast Missouri and his charging the taxpayers for his hotel rooms even when the hotel rooms were for reasons not related to his official duties?
I do not know how a failure to pay taxes for 2008 and 2009 shows that Oliver was working hard to serve his constituents. He also claims that this will not keep him from doing his job as the county prosecutor.
Oh yes, and the republican sheriff of Carter county was also arrested for his involvement in the methamphetamine trade. I hesitate to mention this since all of the republicans I know seem to have no idea who former sheriff Adams was. Apparently he was elected as the republican sheriff of Carter county without any supporters, voters, connections to prominent republicans, connections to the old boy network, and nobody had any idea who he was. I am of course being sarcastic about Adams’ arrest and how once again, people claiming to be insiders now seem to not even know what a politician's name is as soon as he is arrested. I believe that the insiders know how corrupt those they support are and do not care. As long as someone they can control gets elected.
