Blunt: Affairs may be a "distraction"
Rep. Roy Blunt spoke with a reporter from The Washington Examiner this afternoon after Gov. Mark Sanford's (R-SC) press conference ended:
Rep. Roy Blunt, the former House Majority Leader who is now a GOP candidate for governor (sic) in Missouri, is no stranger to scandal, having gone through an affair, a public divorce and remarriage under the scrutiny of the press.
"This can be a distraction," Blunt said of the Ensign and Sanford scandals. "But I think the issues are big enough that they will quickly overcome the distraction."
For the same article, Rep. Jo Ann Emerson was asked about who might emerge as a leader for the GOP. "You would think out of the chaos would rise someone, but I don't know who it is going to be," she said.

Blunt thinks infidelity is just a "distraction?"
I guess he would know.
Blunt sure has chutzpah to be opining on infidelity...
Didn't Roy Blunt meet his new wife "hiking on the Appalachian Trail?"
