Blunt Assessment: Federal spending freeze is "insane...just insane"

Rep. Roy Blunt (R-K Street) and other Congressional Republicans have been pushing a a freeze in federal spending, ignoring what that would do to impede an economic recovery. This morning, conservative newspaper columnist David Brooks called such a freeze "insane":
