Blunt Stands By Cash For Clunkers Vote

Friday, Roy Blunt defended his support of the Cash for Clunkers stimulus program at an event celebrating the fall of the Berlin Wall.  The Fulton Sun:

Blunt said he supported the Cash for Clunkers program because it was one part of the federal spending stimulus package that actually helped stimulate the economy.

Blunt noted that many people criticized the Cash for Clunkers program because it only speeded up purchases of cars that eventually would have been done later anyway.

Team Tea Party obviously isn't excited about the vote, but it's nice to see the Congressman take a reasonable position on this issue.
