Blunt's Taxpayer-Financed Response Piece Almost Identical To Mailer Sent to Montanans
Republican Congressman Denny Rehberg sent a glossy mailer to his Montana constituents that is almost identical to Roy Blunt's inappropriate mail piece. Rehberg has also been a target of the LCV "Stain" ads, a fact previously noted here in response to Blunt's assertion that the ads are "a way to get around the campaign finance laws."
Given these incredible similarities, Congressman Blunt needs to explain who designed the mail pieces and if they were coordinated by an outside interest group. A coordinated response to the LCV "Stain" campaign seems exactly the kind of thing the oil and gas lobby would spearhead.
And while we're asking questions, Blunt needs to explain why he thinks the LCV ads are "a way to get around the campaign finance laws," and his taxpayer-supported mailer is not.
Check out the Rehberg mailer below the break.
