Catanese: Jericho's Departure Connected to "His Constant Barrage of Attacks" on Blunt & Busiek

As Dave Catanese first reported Monday, uber-conservative radio host David Vincent Jericho is no longer working as a radio host for KSGF in Springfield.

Speaking the next day in an online exit interview of sorts, Catanese shared more of what he's heard about Jericho's departure:

I talked to some political people yesterday, and they, you know, they're hinting that this definitely had to do with his constant barrage of attacks on Congressman Roy Blunt and Mavis Busiek, the 7th District [Congressional Republican Committee] Executive Director. They're not saying that Roy Blunt got somebody fired, but they're saying that there was a build up there and that had to do something with him leaving.

Now, we don't know if he left, or if he was fired, or how that went down -- that's why, you know, we'd like to hear from him about it to know more.

Details are still fuzzy, but it's interesting timing, at least.  I mean, he'd been there about five years, and was pretty controversial with a lot of the stuff he said, but he did have a following. So it it's going to be interesting to see where those people, his listeners, go and what they say about this and who they blame.

There's obviously a lot more to this story that needs to be flushed out.

Listen to Catanese's full interview here. His thoughts on Jericho start at around the 25:00  minute mark.
