Communication Specialist, Missouri Municipal League

The Missouri Municipal League is currently accepting applications for the position of Communication Specialist.

The Communication Specialist is responsible for the design, implementation and evaluation of 7 communication and outreach initiatives supporting local governments. This position serves both an internal and external client service role. The person selected for this position will develop, write, coordinate and maintain media content and publications, including newsletters, magazine, reports, and press releases. He or she also should be excited about sharing a passion for local government through written communications.

The candidate selected for this position must be able to plan and execute assignments with deadlines in a timely, efficient and high-quality manner. Candidates will be expected to provide writing samples and examples of past work. Prior knowledge of or experience in local government is preferred but not required. Proficient skills with Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel; Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, In Design, Photoshop); Adobe Pro is also required. The Communication Specialist reports to the executive director.
