Conservative Club of MO: "Republicans in Office...Not Looking Out for Their Constituents"

The Conservative Club of Missouri, formerly known as the St Charles County Republican Club, is not happy with the "the current crop of Republicans in office at all levels."  In a message posted on their website from Club President Lyn Schipper, the organization calls for "new and fresh faces," and calls out Roy Blunt by name as a candidate "not in the best interest of the Party."

No longer does the Republican Party’s actions reflect their stated values. Bigger government, ridiculous spending and removing individual freedoms seems to be the norm. Putting forth the "next in line" (Roy Blunt) is not in the best interest of the Party. Instead we need new and fresh faces that have shown themselves willing to take a stand.

Schipper is the former President of the O'Fallon Board of Aldermen.  He was featured in a New York Times story last year expressing similar frustrations with the GOP candidates for President.

A poll of Missouri Republicans last week for The St. Louis Post-Dispatch and a television station showed a tight race: Mr. McCain with 31 percent; Mr. Huckabee, 25 percent; and Mr. Romney, 21 percent. The margin of sampling error was plus or minus five percentage points.

“The problem is there is a not a knock-your-socks-off candidate out there that really stands for what the Republicans and, more importantly, what the conservatives say,” said Lyn J. Schipper, 40, the leader of a Republican club in the county. “I think that what you’re seeing is a transformation from the Ronald Reagan-esque candidate who everyone gathered around to such a splintering.”

His condemnation of leaders in both parties is online at MoConservatives.com.
