Former Poplar Bluff Mayor Faughn Should Pay Court Ordered Fees

Scott Faughn’s three convictions for forgery is the gift that continues to give critics of the Political Machine / “old Regime” in Poplar Bluff an issue. Sure there are a lot of other issues but this one never seems to go away.
Scott Faughn is now being called into account to finish paying all of his fees from his three felony convictions. Faughn does not believe he should have to pay for the court costs and fees associated with his conviction but that the taxpayers should pay.
Even though Scott Faughn is closely tied to Jason Crowell and Rod Jetton and is very close friends to Robbie Myers a Peter Kinder ally, Faughn is not above the law.
Faughn needs to first show respect for the law. He needs to recognize his brief time in city government and short time in law school do not elevate him above the law.
Faughn needs to finish paying his debt. Faughn needs to admit wrong doing, be honest with himself, and come clean with the people of Southeast Missouri.
Maybe then Faughn’s criticisms of others in Southeast Missouri may have slightly more meaning.
