A Fundraiser For The Little People

Sadly, my wife and I will be unable to scrounge up the $100,400 required to attend this event.
Former U.S. House Speaker Newt Gingrich will be back in town next week for a major fundraising event to help a former Republican colleague, U.S. Rep. Roy Blunt, who's now running for the U.S. Senate next year.
The Ladue event -- at the Hunter Farms estate of Stephen and Kimmy Brauer -- includes a private reception that seeks $100,400 per couple.
A successful evening should significantly fatten Blunt's next campaign report, due Oct. 15, and covering the three-month period that ends Sept. 30. He now has one GOP rival, state Rep. Chuck Purgason, and a Democratic opponent, Secretary of State Robin Carnahan.
...The event actually raises money for four entities: Blunt's Senate campaign, his separate Rely On Your Beliefs political action committee, the Missouri Republican Party and the National Republican Senatorial Campaign Committee.
Alternatively, you could attend a "photo reception" at the estate's horse stables for just $10,000. A small price to pay for a photo with both Newt and Roy.
