"I Meant To Do That"
On a relatively slow news day, a hot topic of discussion seems to be David Lieb's analysis piece for the AP about the personal relationship between Gov. Jay Nixon and Lt. Gov. Peter Kinder. There isn't a whole lot of new information in the articled, but I I did chuckle at this line from Kinder's spokesman:
"[Kinder]’s made a calculated decision as to how he can be more effective in the political climate in Jefferson City."
So Peter Kinder's #Twittergate fiasco, "rumors and third-hand reports" conference call, creation of a campaign video at taxpayer expense, dishonest statements about Tour of Missouri contracts, mishandling of the MIAC military report controversy, suggestion that kids skip school to avoid a Barack Obama speech about skipping school, etc. were all "calculated decisions?" Yikes!
Kinder's "calculated" strategy is oddly reminiscent of this clip from the classic Pee Wee's Big Adventure.
