FRIDAY EVENTS

  • Friday evening registration begins at 5:00 p.m. There will be Hospitality Rooms open with plenty to eat
    and drink. There will also be booths around the atrium that will have political, civic and public organizations.
  • Silent Auction runs from 5:00 to 8:30 p.m. Live Auction begins at 7:00 p.m. Both of the auctions will be in
    Ballrooms 3 & 4. There will be political and numerous other types of items up for bid. If you would like to
    donate items for the auctions, please call Madelyn Schnick or Brenda Planchon at Democratic Headquarters – 417-886-8980.
  • Young Democrats Mixer in NewsRoom at 5:30 p.m. This event is sponsored by the MSU College Democrats
    and Democrats for the Ozarks.
  • Come listen and dance to Brother Wiley - a rousing bunch of Democrats who will rock ‘n’ roll. Music begins
    at 8:30 p.m. in Ballroom 1.

SATURDAY EVENTS

  • Registration will be open in atrium from 8:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Hospitality rooms and booths will be open during the day.
  • Eggs, Bacon & Democrats: Join the Democratic Alliance and enjoy their Annual Breakfast. Our featured speaker this year is Missouri Auditor Susan Montee. It begins at 8:00 a.m. in the Ballrooms. Tickets are $25.00.
  • Would you GROW, COLLECT OR DELIVER PRODUCE to help hungry neighbors? If so, join HARVEST ON WHEELS volunteers in the ballroom at 9:45 a.m. Saturday. Learn how Ozark Food Harvest and The Kitchen deliver food to the hungry and ways you can help. In 2009, we collected and delivered 28,000 pound of produce and raised $2,430. This year, let’s do more.
  • The Young Democrats of Missouri will be hosting their 2010 Convention at Jackson Day. They will be
    holding seminars during the morning and the convention will begin at 12:30 p.m. in the Ballrooms.
  • The Jackson Day Committee will also be conducting a food drive for Ozarks Food Harvest & will be accepting non-perishable goods throughout Friday and Saturday.
  • There are several Sponsors’ activities scheduled throughout the day, including a luncheon at Twin Oaks Country Club (with entertainment provided by, “The Skinny Improv.”), and a cocktail reception with the
    Banquet Speaker.
  • The highlight of the event is the Banquet on Saturday evening at 6:30 p.m. Doors open at 6:00 p.m.
