Kinder Calling For Revolution?

In the moments before tonight's votes on the compromise health care package, Lt. Governor Peter Kinder emoted the following: "Americans overwhelmingly agree that the federal government no longer operates with the consent of the governed."

This goes far beyond the standard "throw the bums out" rhetoric. Kinder's tweet refers to the portion of The Declaration of Independence that explains the need for an armed revolution.

We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.--That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, --That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness.

If Kinder indeed believes that the U.S. House of Representatives is acting in a tyrannical manner by voting on and passing legislation, is he calling for someone "to alter or to abolish" the federal government?

Minutes earlier, Kinder also described the health care reform debate as the most "corrupt [and] damning to our freedom in history."

This probably plays well with the radical tea party crowd, but Peter Kinder is the highest-ranking elected Republican in Missouri.  How many insane tweets of this sort are required from before someone in the mainstream press follows up and reports on it?   Reporters and editors would never collectively roll their eyes if he said this in a press release or on camera -- so why do they let it slide because it's online?
