Kinder Takes Ownership for "Save My Bicycle Race" Website
Lt. Governor Peter Kinder took to the KMBZ airwaves this morning to promote his new website, SaveTheTourOfMissouri.com. In the last 24 hours, Kinder's staff has been furiously promoting the website and its corresponding Twitter feed to generate calls into the Governor's office.

Yesterday, Deputy Lt. Gov. Jerry Dowell and Communications Director Gary McElyea refused to [publicly] discuss the ownership of the website with the News-Leader's Chad Livengood, or explain why the Tour's previous Twitter pages were suspended. [Paragraph updated w/ new details via Twitter]
But today, Kinder cleared up the matter, calling it "our website."
Ironically, Kinder's main goal for the campaign is to have other people call the Governor, even though he admits he hasn't even tried to discuss the conflict with Nixon personally.
No word yet on why Kinder and his staff are refusing to disclose ownership and control on the Twitter feed or website.
UPDATE: Livengood clarified that Deptuy LG Jerry Dowell called him and sent him a direct message via Twitter that the "@tourofmo [Twitter account] was suspended and will be reactivated as we were told too many people signed up in too short of a period."
