Lafayette Co. GOP Celebrates New Billboard: It May Be Time For "WAR"

The Lafayette County Republican Central Committee is proudly celebrating a new crazy billboard on I-70 near Grain Valley.  It calls for citizens to "starve the beast" and "vote out incumbents" -- and if that doesn't work, "PREPARE FOR WAR."

Apparently, this new message replaces the infamous "They Are Coming For You!" billboard. Just another day for "mainstream" Missouri Republicans.

This is the sign we have been waiting for.  Those who have not been awake for the last year, need to be educated on what this government is about and what rights they have already lost.  This is only going to get worse and they will be the first to say, "when did this happen".  It is time for more protests, more billboards, more heat on these monsters and get them out of office...starting with the White House.  Still, no birth certificate, no president... start there and work you way down.

And for the jerk who went to "racist"  get a life...that won't work anymore.

Wanna Fight, Do You?

Dear bab2010,

I know there's nothing like some dumbass billboard to get your blood boiling and your trigger finger itching.

But before I take my musket down from over the fireplace, I need for you to tell me why--specifically--I should take up arms against my fellow citizens?  Tell me what you've got stuck in your craw that makes you want to shoot your next door neighbor?  Or me?

May the Peace of the season be with you.

Missouri Billboard

I’ve read through a plethora of posts on various sites on this issue and it is really sad that everyone seems to be missing a critical point here. I do not know the businessman that sponsored this billboard so I can not make a judgment on whether or not this man is a racist. I know that I am not a racist. I know that when I was protesting the war created by G.W. Bush I was not called a racist, but now, whenever I speak out against President Obama’s continuation of the war, I am called a racist. If this same billboard would have been posted during the Bush regime, racism would not have been an issue, so how can anyone logically conclude this man is a racist. Do we now have to approve of all actions of President Obama in order to avoid being called a racist? Is that not a form of racism (blanket approval of someone because of their race)? President Obama won the Nobel Peace Prize while simultaneously sending additional troops into Afghanistan and Pakistan. Like his predecessor, he believes in pre-emptive war. He chose G.W. Bush’s defense secretary, Republican, Robert Gates as his defense secretary. He wants to build a civilian army that is as big and well funded as our current military. His words proclaim one thing while his actions bear the fruit of a completely different tree.

He is not alone and is simply a participant in the illusion of a two-party system in our country. This is not about democrats versus republicans. This is about the stifling hand of big government and their bed partners, i.e. insurance companies, pharmaceutical companies, Wall Street tycoons, military industrial complex and big bankers versus We The People. After you ask yourself, “Who was the last president that actually followed through with his campaign rhetoric”, why not contemplate who was the last president to actually uphold his oath of office to protect and defend the Constitution. Our government did not become corrupt overnight nor during any one particular president’s stay in office. It has been a gradual erosion of the law of our country and a complete disregard of our founding principles. This billboard does not imply Mr. Obama himself is a beast but rather refers to the leviathan our federal government has become due to the gross misinterpretation of the general welfare clause of the constitution (among others). He is simply a continuation of the same.

Like it or not there is an air of revolution in this country. It is a peaceful revolution. It did not start during this administration but it is growing with every broken promise. Notice this billboard is recommending peaceful solutions that were passed down to us by our founders. “If money is wanted by Rulers who have in any manner oppressed the People, they may retain it until their grievances are redressed, and thus peaceably procure relief, without trusting to despised petitions or disturbing the public tranquility.” Journals of the Continental Congress, 1:105-113 - From an 8-page official Act passed unanimously by the Founders in 1774.

We have repeatedly been trying to vote out incumbents but are realizing the difficulties in accomplishing that objective and when we are successful, we keep getting more of the same. "I predict future happiness for Americans if they can prevent the government from wasting the labors of the people under the pretense of taking care of them." – Thomas Jefferson

Wars can be waged in many ways. It does not take bloodshed to wage a war. In actuality, when there is actual bloodshed, the war has been being waged for quite sometime. Americans are waking up and are waging a war on the lack of common sense present in Washington, not only in this administration but in past administrations as well. I happen to agree with the New Hampshire state motto, “Live Free or Die”. If we do not strive to live free we will certainly die. Maybe not physically through war, but as Americans in the land of the free and home of the brave, we will no longer exist.
