A musing about Bailout Blunt

On this the left and the right both agree
How they don’t like his actions while in D C

So what will he do so voters ignore
His record in congress so many abhor?

Now I am hearing with total dismay
When it comes to his record "just look away"

Ignore all of that congressional time
Spent helping lobbyists convicted of crime

And spending so much of tax-payer loot
While bringing his party into disrepute

When the economy fell very ill
Our nation's finances were going down-hill

Tax-payers like sheep were getting sheared
While watching their savings as it disappeared

Gas prices you know they started to spike
Alternative energy he didn't like

He was in congress just having a ball
And enjoying big parties and that's not all

Market forces he claimed just wouldn't work
Big business needs welfare he said with a smirk

Though driving while our economy crashed
He says he has changed 'though he is unabashed

What will he do about Robin's success?
Her time spent in office repairing Matt's mess?

People agree she has done her job well
And so Mister Bailout has a very tough sell

Now he is going to use the canard
'Cause She's only a woman thinking's too hard

He'll simply say she don't know her own mind
And because she's a girl she'll be left behind

His lie it continues how it can't be
For a mere girl to represent you and me

She'll just rubber-stamp what others do say
And women he'll claim are just funny this way

But Robin is smart hard working as well
Bailout Blunt seems to be a mere empty shell

Put the rubber-stamp lie back on the shelf
