New Gallup Poll: Senators Slightly Less Slimy Than Car Dealers and Congressmembers
Well, this is depressing. It's probably even more depressing for Congressmen with a long, documented track record of unethical behavior.
For the first time in Gallup's annual Honesty and Ethics of Professions poll, a majority of Americans -- 55% -- say the honesty and ethical standards of "members of Congress" are low or very low -- slightly worse than "senators," whose ethics are rated low by 49%...
Interestingly, Senators come out ahead of House Members.
It's not a good environment for Members of Congress to be asking for promotions -- especially Congressmen named among "The Most Unethical Members of Congress" by independent watchdogs.
