Today in Brian Nieves: The Senator Compares Himself to Gabrielle Giffords

Remember last week when we noted that three constituents of Brian Nieves wrote the Washington Missourian about an unpleasant and unprofessional meeting they had in their Senators' office?

Well today he wrote The Missourian to let readers know that he's worried about being shot in the head like Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords of Arizona because a constituent wrote an "ugly letter to the editor" (his words).  From Nieves' response:

The experience ended in my Capitol office a few weeks ago with me throwing (figuratively) a 6’2” person nearly twice my weight out of my office because I could no longer stomach looking in to his sneering, evil eyes! Why was this intimidatingly large thug thrown out of my office? Why was he treated in the exact manor he deserved? [...]

Let’s never forget what happened to Congresswoman Gifford [sic]! No mother deserves being made to feel uneasy or unsafe because of irresponsible actions of a person who is clearly trying to intimidate or damage.

Yes, he went there

A helpful hint for the Senator: If you think you and your family are in danger, call the police. Whining in the local newspaper just makes you look even more pathetic and ridiculous than ever.
