Blunt Offers Up One Of The Lamest Excuses Of All Time

Can someone explain this to me?

[Roy] Blunt, who heads a House alliance called the Health Care Solutions Group, sought to explain anew why Republicans have not introduced their own health-care legislation after declaring last spring that they intended to do so.

"People are very distrustful of the 1,056-page stimulus bill, the 1,000-page cap-and-trade bill, the 1,100-page health care bill that came out of committees in the House," he said. "I think the American people are tired of bills that nobody reads and nobody understands."

Say what? Blunt can't present the GOP health care bill he guaranteed he'd produce, the bill he guaranteed would cost "far less [and] provide better results for the American people" because Democrats introduced unrelated bills that he didn't like?  Or because his plan would be incomprehensible?

Roy Blunt has had literally months to come up with an excuse, and this is all he's got?

My mind is blown.
