Peter Kinder Is Totally, Totally Freaked Out By Baucus Health Care Proposal

Apart from the fact that:

• the Senate Finance Committee proposal Kinder finds so outrageous was most certainly not "crafted by Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid," and
• it's not a "government takeover of healthcare,"

Kinder is right on target. Especially the part about how the Baucus health care reform will cause criminals to run around in your neighborhood and shutter universities.

It's not unreasonable to have concerns about how the health care bill will be financed, or what sort of mandates will be passed on to states.  But this is waaaaaay over the top, and his poor grasp of how the Baucus plan actually came to exist should give everyone pause.

What does the Lieutenant Governor say about the financial trajectory of the current system? Surely he has an alternative set of ideas for how to reign in costs and expand access to affordable coverage? 

Maybe he can sign on to Roy Blunt's plan 3.5-page memo for reform?
