Rasmussen: Blunt & Carnahan Knotted at 46%, Nixon's Approval at 58%

A Rasmussen Reports Election 2010 telephone survey released today shows both Robin Carnahan and Roy Blunt receiving support from 46% of respondents, with 2% preferring "some other candidate" and 5% saying they aren't sure who they support.

Respondents were not offered the opportunity to rate the other declared candidate in the race, Chuck Purgason, and were only asked head-to-head and fav/unfav questions about Blunt and Carnahan. (Poll questions are here.)

Fifty-eight percent of respondents approved of Jay Nixon's job as Governor, while 38% disapproved.

The phone survey was conducted Monday, with a margin of error of +/- 4.5 percentage points.  For more, check out the analysis and topline data.
