Report: Hartzler One of the Top Farm Subsidy Recipients in Congress

A new report from the Environmental Working Group shows that Rep. Vicky Hartzler -- allegedly a small-government advocate -- is one of the very top recipients of federal farm subsidy money in Congress. "Sixty-two percent of American farmers do not receive any direct payments from the federal farm subsidy system," the report states -- but Hartzler is definitely not part of that majority. EWG's numbers show that Hartzler Farms received $774,489 in farm subsidies between 1995 and 2009.
