I stand corrected re Nodler. My apologies to him.
However, Bill Stouffer has never served and it is clear his stance is purely to help out his Congressional campaign by getting his name in the news. This issue clearly has nothing to do with his job in the Missouri Senate (for which he was elected, gets paid, and is supposed to be working). Our budget situation in Mo. needs his attention right now. He can let the national issues rest until after May 15.

He served in the U.S. Army and Missouri National Guard
What would Freud say?
Psychologists might have an explanation why these guys are so homophobic. Could there be some latent fears on their own identity??? Wouldn't want to speculate on that, but I don't believe they have served in the military (I know Stouffer hasn't), so why are they suddenly such experts on what is best for the military, other than basic political ambition and newsmongering? These efforts are nothing but the crudest and most despicable form of campaigning, i.e. boosting your own standing at the expense of others.
