Sinquefield Creates Yet Another PAC for Yet Another Intiative Petition, Kicks It Off With $300k Check

A new PAC called A Safer Missouri popped up on Friday, and received its very first check that very first day from everyone's favorite right-wing bajillionaire -- $300,000 from Rex Sinquefield.  The News-Leader reports the committee will file a petition today with the secretary of state's office to constitutionally mandate local control of the of the St. Louis and Kansas City police departments.

The treasurer for this new committee is James Deutsch of Blitz, Bardgett and Deutsch, a firm that received $300,000 in legal fees from Rex's Proposition A committee last year.  The deputy treasurer is Mandy Studer, the Chief of Staff at Sinquefield's Pelopidas PR firm.  Studer serves in the same role for the same "Let Voters Decide" committee, which will now handle their sales tax hike petitions, and 100 other Sinquefield PACs (not an exaggeration).
