This bill sets up a commission to determine when the Federal Government oversteps the Constitution. Because, the commission and not the United States Supreme Court would be better able to determine what should and should not be considered Constitutional (I am being sarcastic and do not think the Commission would be better than the Supreme Court.)
It is my understanding that Gayle Kingery (the person holding the "I support the 10th amendment" sign in one of the pictures at this link) is in support of this bill. Gayle’s triumphs since being elected were to get his son home early from Kuwait to return to college. Kingery said his son joined the military for an education (according to Kingery in the Daily American Republic newspaper.) Kingery's other triumphs include the establishment of the Gayle Kingery Teenage Republicans at the Poplar Bluff, High School and (in fairness to Gayle) he did get some of the Lewis and Clark money for Three Rivers Community College.
The political machine and wanna be power brokers of Butler County did not allow Kingery to get credit for this one accomplishment of getting additional funding for TRCC through the Lewis and Clark initiative.
Although he has supported tax increases, examining the possibility of turning Highway 67 and other Missouri roads into toll roads, and selling state assets in order to spend more public money, he is now a Tea Bagger. Who knew?
