Steelman Enlists "Most Amoral Political Consultant in America" to Complain About Post-Dispatch
Dick Morris, the "most amoral political consultant in America," was all over St. Louis conservative talk radio yesterday complaining about the Post-Dispatch's weekend story about Sarah Steelman's personal investments in "mutual funds that bought stock in companies engaging in the same type of activities she was denouncing" as Treasurer. Morris appeared with KMOX's Charlie Brennan, KFTK's Jamie Allman and KFTK's Dana Loesch yesterday to accuse the paper and reporter Jake Wagman of executing an unfair "hit job" against Steelman.

In his interviews, Morris declared that "the Post-Dispatch did a hit job on her...that was so unfair" and repeatedly pushed the talking point that it's impossible to own a "terror free mutual fund." (Not buying mutual funds wasn't an option for Steelman, apparently.) Interestingly, Morris accused "the Democrats" of feeding the information for the Post-Dispatch story, so he must have missed Politico's report that all that information came from a heretofore unknown tea party activist named Francis Marion.
For those of you wondering about what motivates Morris to spend his Monday worrying about a news story in St. Louis, he did tell Brennan that he's not on Steelman's payroll at that moment. but will "probably" continue to campaign for Steelman in Missouri in the months ahead.

Allman:
And Loesch:
Is it weird to anyone else that Steelman didn't make these calls herself?
