Tea Party Leaders Threaten Blunt and Akin: "We Are Coming For You"

St. Louis Pushes Back has an interesting dispatch from a Friday press event by the St. Louis tea partiers, including 97.1 FM Talk radio host Dana Loesch, activist Bill Hennesy and former State Senate hopeful Gina Loudon. The protest's primary concern was the NRCC's support for a candidate they don't like in New York's 23rd Congressional District, but also seems to have been something of a warning shot to politicians who don't live 800 miles away. In Loesch's words:

We called for the old-school Republican guard, the ones intent on enslaving us in the tunnel of Democrat-lite, to go conservative or get out of the way.

And as St. Louis Pushes Back notes, Loesch also issued an ultimatum to Reps. Roy Blunt and Todd Akin to denounce the candidate they hate (a woman named Dede Scozzafava) by the close of business Friday, or "we are coming for you."

"We will vote you out!  We will come at you with so much heat, you won't even know how to handle it!" Loesch screamed. (Her rant begins at about 18:30 in this video.)

As far as I know, Blunt and Akin haven't injected themselves into the NY-23 race yet, so we'll have to wait and see what the tea partiers do in response.
