Sometimes I have to pinch myself to believe how Blessed I am! I have a Beautiful Wife and three Truly Amazing Kids. God has Blessed me with a Great Family, Important Work, and some of the most Gracious Friends a man could Ever Hope for. Thank You ... Really, Thank You for being a Faithful Friend - I will never be able to express how much I appreciate it.
As the title of this writing implies... I am setting out on some new adventures and if I may, I'd like to share the excitement with you.
Our Founding Fathers put together a system of government that was to be governed by The People and overseen by an elected legislature. One thing I’ve always found interesting about our Framers is the level of Wisdom they had, enough wisdom to design a system that would support the Greatest Nation on Earth. These Founders did NOT want Career Politicians, they wanted Statesmen. They wanted us to have what they called a “Citizen Legislature” so those who were writing laws would remain familiar with “The Real World” and be able to relate to their fellow citizens. I believe strongly in that philosophy and must confess I have allowed myself to slip away from being involved in Business or Entrepreneurship during these last nine years I’ve served you in our State Legislature! Now that I’ve made my confession, I’ll advise you of my Corrective Action… Yes folks, I’m jumping back in to the world of Business and Entrepreneurial Adventures! I offer you this update for several reasons:
- You deserve to know a bit about what your elected senator is up to.
- I want you to know I have recognized my lack of participation in the world of Business and Entrepreneurship AND know I’m taking corrective action.
- As with ANY group of Friends … You may want to Help, Take Advantage of or Participate in some of what I will be doing. I only mention #3 because IF there is a way for us to work together, I would very much enjoy that!
- Making this all Very Public will help me keep my own feet to the fire! My Wife Julie was a Domestic Goddess before I began my service in the Legislature and being the Amazing Woman she is – she went back to work after 17 years of being home with our kids! I want her back home.
- I believe it sets the right example for my children and honors the Original Intent of our Framers for me to Engage in our Free Market System while serving as a senator.
- Final reason… I’m a pretty good entrepreneur and know I’m well able to build a profitable business with Friends AND help other people build and expand their businesses! Together, we can and will – Have Fun, Make Money & Make a Difference!
Starting Right Now I’m kicking off two projects. The first is like an Old Friend and involves “Relationship Marketing” through a Leadership Development Company called TEAM. I have been affiliated with the folks at TEAM for many many years and in fact, Relationship Marketing is the area of business in which Julie & I actually made a Very Large income for many years! If your not afraid of Hard Work & Frustration and are willing to be a good student while affiliating with some of the most Patriotic, God Loving People around, you may be a good candidate to work with us on this project!
