Todd Akin Jokes About Activists Lynching His Democratic Colleagues

At a town hall meeting yesterday, Todd Akin mentioned that some of his Democratic colleagues in Congress "almost got lynched" when talking to constituents. The idea seems to have been a big hit with the friendly audience. Watch and listen:

I like to think I have a sense of humor. But how are lynch mobs funny?

Mobs v. Crowds

Disgusting

How is this okay?

Good old Crazy Todd never fails to amuse.

"Todd Akin) needn't have worried. From the standing ovation he received at the start to the cheers that greeted his closing lines -- "If you're sick, where do you want to be sick? The good old USA." -- Akin got the kind of reception any politician dreams of."

Good old Crazy Todd never fails to amuse.

One of the last places you want to be when you're sick is the "(t)he good old USA."  Our health care system is ranked 37th overall and we're 24th in life expectancy. If you're sick, you'd be better-off in "Andorra, Cyprus, or even Colombia. Each outperforms the U.S. health care system on WHO's World Health Report 2000."

Good old Crazy Todd.
