Trib: August Health Care Vote "A Waste of Time and Energy"

The Columbia Daily Tribune's latest editorial: "Perhaps the most foolish action of the recent state legislative session would give Missourians the right to ignore federal health care legislation recently passed in Washington. The bill is unconstitutional on both federal and state levels. It was passed merely to make a political statement, showing we Show Me State denizens won’t be pushed around by the likes of Barack Obama and the Democrats in Congress. The law fails even a state constitutional test because it includes two completely separate issues. The original bill dealt with state insurance reform. "
