Wagner Volunteer Gets Testy at Forum

It is over a year before the primary, but the Ann Wagner vs. Ed Martin match up for the 2nd Congressional district Republican nomination has already devolved into a shouting match -- literally.   

According to the Post Dispatch, a volunteer for Wagner was pretty vocal about taking issue with the claim that his candidate was a no-show at a candidate forum: 

"He began raising his voice and became very belligerent," Ryan Conway, president of the Young Republicans, said of the Wagner volunteer. "He got to the point where he was yelling."

The Wagner volunteer cooled down only after the state Young Republican president interverned (sic).

"Obviously, this created quite a scene," Conway, 19 said.

In fact, Ann Wager herself even tweeted about how disappointed she was that Martin attacked her for not showing up.

So far, this race is the odds-on-favorite for the most entertaining primary of the 2012 cycle.
