Where does Peter Kinder do his shopping?

Lt. Governor Peter Kinder isn't impressed with small loan program for entrepreneurs being pushed as part of Gov. Jay Nixon's jobs plan. If the program is approved, small businesses could borrow up to $25,000, at 3 percent interest.

In criticizing the plan, Kinder said that $25,000 is way too small for a start-up company. With those limited funds, he says, a business could buy "a desk and a computer and a chair."

I have no idea where Kinder shops, but as an aspiring entrepreneur, I recently did a little shopping of my own. Here are the items I purchased:

As you can see, I haven't spent anywhere close to $25,000 on my desk, chair and computer. And while my situation is my own, I can't imagine a sane person spending anything close to what Kinder thinks is a reasonable budget for such items.

The way I see it, every dollar counts.
