Will GOPers Buy Pawlenty a Lottery Ticket Tonight?

Missouri Republicans have been chuckling to themselves this week with tongue-in-cheek legislation to require the governor to purchase lottery tickets to generate $300 million dollars for the state budget.  Governor Nixon planned for $300 million in federal money that was expected to be appropriated by Congress.

Ironically (or maybe not), Minnesota Governor Tim Pawlenty is counting on $387 million in similar federal stabilization funds that have yet to be appropriated.  Something tells me Peter Kinder will overlook this inconvenient fact when he introduces Pawlenty tonight at Lincoln Days.

(At the same time, #PeterTheTweeter could still generate some serious Tea Party cred if he mentioned T-Paw's statement that Roy Blunt and his Republican colleagues in Washington were "fired for a reason.")
