Fired Up's Team of Contributors for Coverage of the Upcoming DNCC

A little while back Fired Up Missouri was selected by the good people who run the Democratic National Committee Convention to serve as the Missouri representative to the state blogger corps at next week's big nominating event in Denver.  Fired Up will be providing gavel to gavel coverage (and then some!) from in and around the Pepsi Center and Invesco Field as Barack Obama officially receives his party's nomination for President of the United States.

That's a big job, and since most of Fired Up's regular contributors will continue blogging from their various undisclosed locations in Missouri, we've compiled a top-notch team of folks who will be attending the festivities in Denver to contribute to our coverage.  Those contributors include...

Jack Cardetti, Missouri Democratic Party spokesman and communications director -  The convention is a partisan event for sure, so who better to provide insight than the voice of the Party himself?  We've asked Jack to provide some updates and he has kindly obliged.

Brett Carmical, 19 year-old delegate to the DNCC - Brett is one of the youngest members of the Missouri delegation and will lend us a youthful view of an event that will be a celebration of new voters and change.  We look forward to his unique perspective on the spectacle.

Senator Jean Carnahan, Fired Up Missouri co-founder and Party Leader delegate to the convention - Our very own former United States Senator and First Lady of the State of Missouri will provide occasional dispatches from the DNCC that reflect the wisdom gained during a life lived in and around politics.

Erin Cutraro, Director of Politics & Education for the Women's Campaign Forum - Erin is a St. Louisan transplanted to Washington D.C. whose job is focused on increasing and enhancing the involvement of women in electoral politics.  She'll brief us with updates on some events she's helping put together in Denver and on other items of interest

Jeff Mazur, Director of Missouri/Kansas Council of AFSCME - Formerly a regular contributor to Fired Up, Jeff will report from in and around the convention while adding a Labor perspective to some coverage of the DNCC events.

Sean Narrett, Consultant - A keen observer of both Missouri and national politics, Sean promises to keep us plugged into all the behind-the-scenes scuttlebutt from the convention itself and delegation-related events.

Roy Temple, That's me - Father of a couple precocious little girls

Kelsey Thompson, Coordinator of Robin Carnahan for Secretary of State - Kelsey will keep us up to speed as she hits all the high spots that the Mile-High City has to offer over the four days of the convention.  A native of Monroe City, Kelsey brings the Show-Me spirit of rural Missouri to our coverage team.

These contributors will generate the bulk of our DNCC coverage, but we'll also feature the odd post or bit of other commentary from DNCC attendees and special guests.  We hope that Fired Up readers will have as much fun consuming the DNCC coverage as we'll have providing it.

PS -- Gonna be at the convention and interested in a guest spot on the site for your insight and commentary?  Shoot me an email (roy@firedupmissouri.com) and we'll try to get you set up.
