Have You Ever Wondered How Rep Cynthia Davis Talks To Her Fellow Republicans?

Have you ever wondered how Rep. Cynthia Davis talks to her fellow Republicans? The following email, provided by a Fired Up! Tipster, should give you plenty of insight. (Note: This is not satire, it's the real deal.)

Dear (redacted),

I appreciate your dedication to your legislative duties while on Spring Break. Your letter seemed to indicate that if we create chemical and pharmaceutical ways to tamper with mother nature, then we will solve the problem. Even if you solve a physical problem you still have not solved the moral, emotional and spiritual problems that come with a promiscuous lifestyle.

When I was listening to the debate last week I wondered what kind of man would want to enjoy free sex and then expect her to provide for her own contraceptives? These are the kind of men who want free whores. Any man who would be so low life as that does not deserve to have any woman love him. Smart women will stay away from men who use them and abuse them.

Why is it that most of the e-mail letters I get on this topic is from men? I have concluded that the chemicals and drugs are their way to have all the goodies and not pay the price. When you encourage this behavior, you create more of it. In other words, if the state starts paying for contraceptives we will have more babies than if we just teach people to not expect free prostitution from poor people. Don't you think having to pay child support for the next 18 years is a suitable disincentive?

I learned this from teaching my own children: Natural consequences is usually the best teacher. Bailing them out only encourages them to be irresponsible the next time. Some people think that we will the rate of teenage pregnancy if we put children in classes that teach them how to use birth control. (sic) This backfires for the same reason. More kids are prompted to experiment with sex if you teach them that this is expected behavior.

The irresponsible men love it when women think they are supposed to give away free sex without any consequences. However, you still have not solved the problem of the increase of sexually transmitted diseases that you are creating by encouraging free sex. Susan Phillips said it best when she said that sexual behavior needs to be between a husband and a wife, not between women and the state. The problem is not the babies, it is the lack of a family. Bottom line: publicly funded contraception will create additional moral squaller (sic) and works against the Republican principle of encouraging personal responsibility.

Thank you again for your interest in debating this topic. I am sure that this theme will be coming up again later in the session.

Sincerely,
Cynthia Davis

She is sick

She is to be pitied more than censored. Why doesn't someone who cares about her do something?

Cynthia Davis

When I see her ugly face  and read her inane comments it makes me wonder whether she has been artificially inseminated.  She's got seven known carriers of half of her gene collection while most of the rest of are using birth control-it's like reverse Darwinism-the survivial of the dumbest.

Simply hilarious!

This entire debate is hilarious!  In the glory days of the Dems, when they ruled the roosts in Jefferson City and Bob Griffin was occupying the time of attorneys and investigators with widespread corruption charges (proven), where was the REST of the party?  Lurking in the back hallways, scared to even talk about corruption or call Shamed Former Speaker Griffin on HIS corruption.

Well, welcome to the debate, but don't think you're coming to it all very cleanly or without some icky stuff stuck to the bottom of your shoes -- think like that and you forget the past and will fail Missourians yet again.

Querry me This...

Why is it, pray tell, that nine out of ten letters  to the editor (approximately), decrying the evil of abortion are written by men?  Kinda puts the lie to Sin-is-Bad Cynthia's position now, doesn't it, Hmmm?

Proudly Progressive;                   --Tammy

The real question is...

Why aren't more women writing their legislators?

Scary cavegirl, grammar crimes, & really weird ideas abt sex

Okay, my blood has stopped boiling. Now, it's only simmering over this ninnying Neanderthal e-mail from this putated politician. The last time I read the Constitution it SAID "We the People..." blah-blah-blah secure the blessings of "life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness" for all of us. Neither the Fifth Amenment nor the Fourteenth mention an income requirement. Why doesn't this lawmaker (note: I am really using this term loosely here) simply state what she really thinks -- that poor folks aren't entitled to have sex. They aren't entitled to have the "luxury" of making informed decisions about family planning; to choose the timing of when to bring a baby into the world or to enjoy a sexually-satisfying relationship unless it comes with shame. Shame by the truckload. What a horrible, twisted view of life. I pity her spouse -- if she has one. And jeez, what kind of mindset must her kids have about relationships? No doubt they are in need of some serious de-programming. Her views are also over-and-under inclusive at the same time. In the same pen stroke that she seeks to cut off all publically -funded access to contraceptives to the poor (They can't possible be married now can they?) she cuts off the access of low-income families too. There are so many wonderful things about Missouri (too numerous to list here -- except for the Katy Trail :) I realize Missouri has financial difficulties like so many other states. So, here's my idea. Tax stupidity! Set aside some of the money to educate people like this lawmaker who do not understand subject-verb agreement and the difference between singular and plural nouns. Her writing Certainly, people don't always speak gramamatically, but if they represent us in the legislature and they portray themselves as thoughtful, educated indivuduals, they should at least look that way when they write. Any way, I dare a lawmaker to introduce a bill taxing stupidity in Missouri. I bet just from this one lawmaker alone, it could be a big time revenue booster. And if that's not incentive enoug: think about using that extra moola to restore benefits to some of the hundreds of thousand whose Medicaid benefits have been pulled out from other them.

Can you say ...

... frigid? I bet she was a real pip on a date.

You put your hand on the Bible and swear to uphold the Constitution. You don't put your hand on the Constitution and swear to uphold the Bible.

Mental Midgets

I wonder how many young, struggling, uninsured married couples were just denied family planning?  I bet Rep. Davis doesn't know either.  Do these folks think they were elected to represent the interests of the people of Missouri, or to impose their own twisted moral values?

Oh...My...God...

50's HELL! This stuff is straight out of the Victorian era. What's next? Is Sinthia going to advocate tying your teenaged son's hands to the bed to prevent "self-abuse"?

My God, we've spent 125 years convincing people that people can still have sex AND family planning and these people are undoing it all.

Poor Sinthia. Walking by the contraceptive aisle at Walgreen's must make her sooo hot, bothered, and confused.

Good God!  People actually h

Good God!  People actually hold this neanderthal ninny up as a paragon, someone to represent them and their best interests?  Please Lord...don't ever let my car break down in that part of the state where this dame and her supporters rut their burrows.
