Despicable, Awful People

In case there was anyone left in the state who had even a shred of doubt about whether Matt Blunt and Ed Martin are some of the most despicable people ever to blacken the halls of the Governor's mansion, today's stories by Tony Messenger and Jo Mannies resolve any question.
These criminals in the governor's office --and there's now no doubt that's exactly what they are-- fired a young attorney for making the galling suggestion that the governor should be following the law regarding document retention. Not only did they fire him for doing what's right, they made up a story about firing him designed specially to ruin his reputation. These actions are, quite simply, sub-human.
If Matt Blunt had even an ounce of dignity, compassion or Christian charity left in his rotten soul he would fire Ed Martin and resign the position as governor today, on a Sunday. The behavior that Missouri learns about from Messenger and Mannies today is that bad, and should stand forever as the absolute low-water mark in the governance of this great state.
*A Tip of the Hat and kudos to Messenger, who cites in his column that readers of Fired Up Missouri knew about Scott Eckersley's firing and its circumstances more than a month ago.
