How Long Will Martin Stay On The Public Dole?

Governor Matt Blunt announced today that Ed Martin will be leaving to spend more time with his lawyers family.  Buried in the press release announcing Trish Vincent as his new Chief of Staff is this nugget:

 Martin will assist Vincent during the transition.

So how long will Ed continue to draw a salary from the taxpayers, and will his emails during the transition be public record?

There is also no word on whether Martin will make good on his previous threats to go after Andy Blunt and John Russell if they succeeded in forcing him out of the Governor's office. 

Only time will tell. 

Update:  According to Virginia Young's story, Martin will remain on the payroll until January 4th.   Nice six week severance package for Ed.  Wonder what else he got to keep quiet?
