Look for the Laugh

For those of you wondering what I’ve been doing lately, I’m delighted to announce my new book, coming out in early February entitled: “A Little Help from My Friends.” I have written about three gutsy, opinionated women, who tackle the aggravations of aging with the sunny abandonment of a latter-day Erma Bombeck.

Here’s a review from Barbara Eagleton:

The wit and grit of Jean Carnahan shines through as she and her friends Edna and Verna find the humor in life’s small, everyday happenings. When reading their list of “Things We Miss Most” be sure to share it with family and friends for an amusing walk down memory lane. The pages of this little purple book are filled with laughter, memories, and tongue-in-cheek advice that is sure to tickle your funny bone.”

For those of you who look for the laugh in daily events will enjoy both reading and giving this book to a friend or relative. You can see more--even read the first chapter--over at www.JeanCarnahan.com.  Pre-order on line or come to one of my book signings in your area—to be announced later.  But, for now, take a look at the book site and let me know what you think.

In writing ‘my little purple book’ I asked myself, ‘What would Erma Bombeck have written had she lived to be my age?’ I suspect she’d still be showing us the humor in life. She once said, ‘If you can laugh about something, you can live with it.’ I agree—but sometimes it takes a little help from our friends.
