Congressman Joe Walsh (R-IL) told reporters there should be no abortion exceptions even for the "life of the mother," because "with modern technology and science, you can't find one instance" in which a woman would actually die. Same goes for “health of the mother,” Walsh said; no exceptions needed there either.
With the likes of Walsh and Akin to guide our thinking, there’ll be no need for women to worry about making their own medical decisions. After all, when it comes to women’s bodies, who knows better than a Washington neo-con? So toughen up out there, all you wimpy, binder women, whining about legitimate rapists and ectopic pregnancies.
We fool ourselves if we think the two congressmen are a breed apart, when there are thousands, upon thousands of devotees who think as they do. They will go to the polls in droves and cast their votes for these bozos, whose goal in life is to outlaw contraception, overturn Roe v. Wade, and keep women under control, in their place, and working for less.
In the 21st century, these guys should be laughed out of town. Let’s hope that on November 6th, America’s women, (and men), will send these Neanderthals crawling back into their caves and out of the public square once and for all.
By the way, if you’re scratching your head, trying to remember where you heard of Congressman Walsh…well, he’s the deadbeat dad, who refused to pay his child support payments and now sneers at his opponent, Tammy Duckworth, an Iraq war veteran and triple amputee, “for bragging that’s she’s a hero.” If this guy doesn’t make your skin crawl, you’re no longer part of the human race.
